Participation of the UWED team in Vis International Arbitration Moot

On 12-18 April 2019, a team consisting of 5-year students of the Faculty of International Law Jurajonov Abdulaziz, Mirjonov Maksud and Toshtemirova Nafosat, and Coaches Masadikov Sherzodbek – Chair and Khasanova Farangis - senior teacher of the department of “International Private Law and Civil Law Disciplines” for the first time participated in the 26^th Annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, Austria.

This year 376 teams from 87 countries participated in this competition.

Our team pleaded in arbitration proceedings with other teams from Bern (Switzerland), Doshisha (Japan), Leicester (England) and Guru (India) universities.

Also, in this competition Masadikov Sherzodbek acted as presiding arbitrator between the teams of Vietnam and Georgia.

At the end of the competition, Professor Stefan Kroll, the co-director of the competition, presented our team with books on international commercial law and arbitration, and using this opportunity we express our gratitude to him.
