Visit to the Institute “Fizika-Quoysh” in Parkent region

During the Ecoweek on May 3rd, 2016 students and teachers of UWED visited the Second biggest solar furnace in the world commonly known as the Institute of Sun, located in Parkent region. Solar furnace of Uzbekistan is the unique construction in whole Asia which uses curved mirror, or an array of mirrors, acting as a parabolic reflector. It is mainly built to gain solar energy and melt some materials such as metals.

The reason of this visit is to demonstrate students that Renewable Energies are clean, environmentally friendly, infinite and help mitigate negative consequences of climate change caused by excess fossil fuel usage.
