A master class on "How to become a leading internationalist in the 21st century?" by a graduate of this university, currently a leading consultant of the Department of adviser-speechwriter of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Usmanov was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy on September 21, 2019.
Sardor Usmanov started his speech by defining the concept of an “internationalist”. Then were discussed present-day criteria and requirements for such high-level professionals.
In particular, the speaker emphasized the need for systematic study of domestic political and economic and rapidly changing international situation by growing experts. He focused on the key issues addressed by the President of Uzbekistan Sh.Mirziyoyev in his meeting with the MFA staff and our ambassadors abroad on January 11, 2018.
Thereafter, the lecturer noted the need for mastering a specialized field by future internationalists. Nevertheless, he urged the audience not to be overwhelmed by nuances of the narrow field and overlook the dynamics of regional and global development.
Over the course of the meeting, the speaker addressed methods of academic study of the international field, and delivered a number of practical recommendations based on his own experience. At the end of this interactive event, students got answers to their hottest questions.
