On June 2, in the Information and Resource Center of the University, a meeting was held, dedicated to the work of Abay Kunanbayev. Creativity Abay, his songs, instructive poetic works are the pinnacle of literary and artistic words of Kazakhstan of the XIX century. Abay is considered the founder of the Kazakh literary language. Folk akyn in his songs and poems glorified heroism, courage, criticized ignorance, backwardness. He called for education, science, mastery of crafts. All this was said by the students at the round table.
Students Shakhnoza Berdimuratova, Sarbinaz Reybnazarova, Shahboz Rasulov read poetic lines from Abay's works, told about his contribution to the enlightenment and development of Kazakh written culture, literature. Abay Kunanbaev's attitude to his native language is usually compared with Turgenev, who extolled the importance of the Russian language. The student of the faculty "MP" Jahongir Berkinov held literary parallels between Kazakh and Uzbek literature, spoke about the relationship between oral and written poetry of two related Turkic peoples.
This meeting-conversation was the final part of the cycle of events dedicated to the "Civilization and Literary Heritage of the Peoples of Central Asia". They were organized as part of the program of the Department of Spirituality and Enlightenment of the University and the Department of Social and Human Sciences. The initiators of the meeting-conversation about the creative work of Abay Kunanbayev were Professor Fatima Izzatullaevna Muminova and Associate Professor Aziza Abdullaevna Usmanova. The library staff was very helpful in interesting and interactive activities with young people. They constantly provided a large volume of literature, newspaper and magazine publications, publications, clippings of materials on the topics held.
