In a circle of signatures of Islamic civilization

In the reading room of the Information and Resource Center of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy a round table devoted to the study of Islamic civilization was held. Thanks to the rich book fund UWED students were presented about 20 unique publications about the history and culture of the Ancient East. Among them: Ancient Khorezm (S.P. Tolstov, 1948, 2006); 10 volumes of the book "Cultural heritage of Uzbekistan" (2017), Ancient Nakhshab (R.Kh. Suleymanov, 2000), unique in gilded speech; Central Asia in the system of written culture (M.Ishakov, 2008), etc.

Students of all faculties took part in the discussion about the contribution of the Eastern scientists and encyclopedists and their influence on the development of European civilization. Representatives of the second year of the Faculty of «International Law» Firuz Farmonov and Zhavohir Kurbanov focused attention on the natural-scientific discoveries of our great scientists-compatriots. Students of the faculty "International Relations" Nozima Abdushukurova and Olimhon Tashpulatov presented pearls of eastern poetry. The initiators of the conversation were professors of the Department of Social and Human Sciences, Professor F.I.Muminova, associate professors A.A.Usmanova, F.Х.Usarova. The event was actively attended by the library staff, they told about the collection of books and exhibition-expositions open in the reading room on this topic.
