On May 11, 2018, the workshop "Strengthening local government reforms in Uzbekistan - the experience gained through the study of models based on local communities", organized by the Center for Development Strategy with the support of the World Bank, was held in the "Year of support of active entrepreneurship, innovative ideas and technologies’.

At the seminar, the issues of strengthening the current reforms to further deepen the processes of decentralization, the expansion of the powers of local public authorities and territorial bodies of state administration were raised for discussion. Professor of School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh Jennifer Murtazashvili made a report on the application of international experience in this matter, in the context of the implementation of the State Program strategies for action in five directions in the years 2017-2021. Tashpulatova Lailo and Turaeva Suriya participated in the seminar from UWED.
