Spiritual and educational meeting on "We are against religious extremism and terrorism"

 

On April 30, a preventive measure was held in the Assembly Hall of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy dedicated to the issues of protecting young people from various threats, such as religious extremism and terrorism, from negative influence of "mass culture", as well as strengthening the national immunity of students and teachers.

Mukhammadolim Mukhammadsidikov, the head of the Department for Religious Affairs under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Eshov Khurshid Khurramovich, the representative of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Malika Ibrakhimova, the People's Actress of Uzbekistan, as well as the vice-rector of the UWED, Valijon Norbotayevich Khoshimov.

Speakers revealed the essence of such concepts as "extremism", "terrorism", "nationalism" and "religious extremism". Moreover, the rapporteurs gave an appraisal of the events taking place in the whole world.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place. At the end of the meeting, a documentary "Tafakkur ehtiyoji" was demonstrated.
