The UWED Team (consisting of the International Law faculty’s students: Gafurova Zulfiya, Saidaripova Aziza, Khalimov Farrukh and the coach Artikova Vasila) will take part in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, which is held in Washington (USA) from April 1 to 7, 2018.
Jessup is the world's largest moot court competition, in which law school teams from more than 90 countries participate. The Competition is a simulation of a fictional dispute between countries before the International Court of Justice, the judicial organ of the United Nations.
The University expresses its confidence that the UWED Team will demonstrate strong knowledge and skills gained during the study period and participate successfully among the strongest teams in the world. We wish good luck to the Team in the upcoming rounds.
Taking this opportunity, the faculty expresses its gratitude to the leadership of the University and "Sobirovs" law firm (www.sobirovs.com), and personally, to the UWED alumnus Rakhmad Sobirov for the support provided in organizing the Team's trip to the final round of the competition.
