To implement the Strategy of Actions 2017-2021, the Presidential Decree #PP-2909 and  Strategic Action Plan of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED), UWED has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Leicester University, the United Kingdom.

The MoU considers the establishment of Leicester School of International Studies at UWED (LSIS@UWED) to offer academic services in areas of higher education (under- and postgraduate studies), retraining and training international specialists as well as research-analytics in the subject areas of international relations and diplomacy, international economics, international business, international finance and international commercial law.

The University of World Economy and Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, established in 1992 on the Initiative of the First President of Uzbekistan, offers higher educational, training and research-analytical services in the subject areas of international relations, international economic activities and international law.

Leicester University, established in 1921, is one of leading public research universities of UK and within 1% of top universities according to Times HE ranking, 2% - according to QS World University Ranking and 25th in the list of top university of UK. Leicester University is home for more than 28 thousand students and 50%’of them are foreign students.
