The Week of Russia at the UWED

On May 15-18, 2017 the Week of Russia was conducted at the university. In the framework of this event, “The Day of Literacy” (educational-enlightening project) was carried out and the action of “book-crossing” was held with the motto of “Have you read, hand it over to another”. An intellectual quiz “Do I know Russia?”, traditional contest of Russian songs and national Russian holiday of Maslenitsa (Pancake Day) were carried out in the academic groups.

At the end of the Week a concert was held with an active participation of creative youth of the university. The program of the concert included song and dance performances, reading poems, theatrical plays and performance of the Chorus at the Russian Cultural Center “Singing hearts “.

The current event is aimed at raising the interest of young students in Russian culture and Russian language, and strengthening friendly relations between nations.
