New stage of cooperation in the sphere of juditial training

On April 20, 2017 in the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was held a meeting with students of the Tashkent State Law University and the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in pursuance of one of the tasks for the five priority development directions defined in the Strategy of Action of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021, on improving the system of personnel training. Students of the Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh participated in the meeting through videoconferencing.

The event was attended by senior officials of the Prosecutor's Office and the Department for Combating Tax, Currency Crimes and Legalization of Criminal Incomes under the Prosecutor General's Office, university leaders and lecturers, as well as representatives of mass media.

At a meeting dedicated to the topic: "The main activities of the prosecutor's office of the Republic of Uzbekistan", the students were informed in detail about the activities of the prosecutor's office and the Department under the Prosecutor General's Office, they were given the opportunity to visit and learn about the activities of the Higher Studies Courses, Call Center and the sports complex of the General Prosecutor's Office.

In addition, the students were informed in detail about the cooperation of the General Prosecutor's Office with higher educational institutions in training of legal personnel, the role of the prosecution authorities in coordinating activities to combat crime, the powers of the prosecutor in court proceedings, the international cooperation of the General Prosecutor's Office in criminal proceedings and  about the activities of Prosecutor's Office on the promotion of legislation and the prevention of violations.

The participants of the event stressed that currently higher education institutions have improved the system of teaching law, and in order to ensure a combination of theory and practice, has been established an effective practice of attracting experienced judicial and law enforcement personnel to conduct classes.

According to the results of the meeting signed a memorandum on cooperation in the field of judicial training, in order to further implementation of effective mechanisms for training of highly qualified legal personnel, between the General Prosecutor's Office, Tashkent State University of Law, University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh .

During the meeting, the students received answers to their questions.
