Sodyq Safoev met with the vice-speaker of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Jakip Asanov

On July 8 of this year, international observers led by the coordinator of the CIS PA group, the vice-speaker of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Jakip Asanov, discussed the preparation process for the presidential election, which is being held ahead of schedule, with the first deputy chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sodyq Safoev. He noted that the election campaign is going on very intensively. “The election campaign showed that citizens’ political activity and interest in discussing pre-election programs has increased”. In his opinion, the election process in Uzbekistan has reached a new level. “Clear, well-thought-out assessments of our colleagues in the CIS PA are very important for us”, Sodyq Safoev said.

During the conversation, the reforms being carried out in our country were discussed in detail, the role of parliament and local councils, the openness and accountability of state power and management bodies are increasing, the economy is liberalizing, including the share of small business entities has increased four times, production diversification it was noted that the weight of investments from the CIS countries and other countries has increased several times.

The observers wished for the success of the presidential election, which is being held ahead of schedule, and noted that the election process in Uzbekistan is organized at a high level.
