A meeting was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy with the leadership of the Diplomatic World publication

On July 8 of this year, a meeting was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy with the Director General of the Belgian magazine “Diplomatic World”, Barbara Dietrich, and the project manager of this publication, Alberto Turkstra, who are participating as international observers at the upcoming presidential elections.

From UWED, the event was attended by the Head of the Department of International Relations Ulugbek Khasanov and the Head of the Department of Mass Media and Publishing Bakhtiyor Khasanov.

The guests shared their impressions of the preparation and course of the current election campaign in our country, and also highly appreciated the large-scale reforms, the changing role and political activity of our society, the authority of the republic in regional and international processes, the policy of openness and the constructive position of the state on a number of vital issues of current international relations.

The guests were informed about the priorities of academic and research development, the level and nature of improving the research potential of the university, expanding the partnership base with leading analytical and educational centers and institutions of the world.

In turn, the representatives of “Diplomatic World” spoke about the specifics of their own international publication, plans to prepare materials on the current presidential elections on the pages of their journal, expressed interest in cooperation with the scientific journal “International Relations” of the UWED and thanked for the opportunity to meet and for a useful exchange of views.
