A meeting was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy with the director of the Institute of Europe and Asia at the University of Malaya in Malaysia

On July 7, this year, a meeting took place at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy with Roy Anthony Rogers, the director of the Institute of Europe and Asia at the University of Malaya. He is participating as an international observer in the presidential elections of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The event was attended by G.Ismailova, the Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation at UWED, Sh.Arapov, the Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, U.Khasanov, the Head of the Department of International Relations, M.Abdullayeva, a teacher from the Department of Political Science, as well as doctoral students and university researchers.

G.Ismailova provided a detailed account of the history of UWED, its structural divisions, educational programs, and international collaborations. She also expressed interest in establishing cooperative relations with the University of Malaya.

In turn, R.Rogers expressed gratitude for organizing the meeting and expressed his willingness to engage in close cooperation with UWED.

The parties discussed the implementation of joint scientific projects within international initiatives, faculty and student exchanges, the development of joint curricula, and collaboration in scientific research.

They also proposed signing a Memorandum of Understanding to establish long-term cooperation on a systematic basis between the two institutions.
