Sodyq Safoev met with the Chairman of the American-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce, who is in Uzbekistan as an international observer

On July 7 of this year, the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Sodyq Safoev met the Chairman of the American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce and a partner at the White&Case law firm, Carolyn Lemm who came to our country as an international observer to participate in the presidential election of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which will be held on July 9.

During the conversation, Carolyn Lemm noted that she had been to Uzbekistan before and witnessed the great changes that have taken place in the country in recent years. She highly praised the success of the reforms implemented under the leadership of President Sh.Mirziyoev.

On his part, Sodyq Safoev emphasized that comprehensive work is being carried out to fully reflect the norms of the Constitution adopted in the new version in people’s lives, and a deep and well-thought-out policy in the field of social security is being implemented at the initiative of the head of state.

At the meeting, opinions were exchanged regarding the expansion of practical cooperation between the enterprises of our countries and the promotion of joint cooperation projects.

Carolyn Lemm expressed confidence that the voting process in the presidential election will be organized on the basis of the principles of openness and transparency.

Other issues of interest to the parties were also discussed at the meeting.
