Sodyq Safoev met with a representative of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On July 7 this year, the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Sodyq Safoev met with A.Shakirov, the Chairman of the Committee of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the meeting, Sodyq Safoev spoke about the historical friendship between two brotherly nations and inter-parliamentary cooperation. At the same time, it was emphasized that the main goal of the referendum held in our country and the adopted important amendments to the Constitution in the new edition are to further improve the living standards of the people, strengthen their comprehensive state protection in the Basic Law.

In turn, A.Shakirov, who takes part in the presidential elections as an international observer, positively reacted to the large-scale reforms carried out in our country in recent years, especially in the area of good neighborliness and inter-parliamentary cooperation.

He also drew attention to the importance of the upcoming political event and praised the organization of the process of preparing and holding the elections.

In addition, the main directions of trade and economic cooperation, issues of solving the water problem in the Aral Sea region, rational use of water resources, proposals for the implementation of joint projects were discussed.

Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed at the meeting.
