The speakers emphasized that our countries are closely related to each other in terms of history and culture, and noted that Heydar Aliyev paid special attention to relations with Uzbekistan during the time he was the head of Azerbaijan.

The fact that his personality is highly respected in Uzbekistan is evidenced by the fact that his political heritage is widely studied, the street in Tashkent where Azerbaijanis live compactly was named after him, and a wonderful square-park was built in his honor.

It should be noted that the President of Azerbaijan, Ilhom Aliyev, during his participation in the opening ceremony of the renovated Heydar Aliyev Street, expressed his gratitude to the head of our state and the people of Uzbekistan for the constant attention and care shown in preserving the precious memory of Heydar Aliyev.

After all, there are many nations and peoples in the world whose language, customs, culture, and even appearance are similar to each other. We can easily include the Uzbek and Azerbaijani peoples among such peoples. Representatives of both nationalities can understand each other without translation. Many common aspects can be found in our way of life, traditions and customs, folklore and written literature.
