A youth event was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, aimed at explaining the essence and significance of the draft Constitutional Law.

The action, which was held under the slogan “Uzbekistan is a country of Youth”, calls on the younger generation to contribute to a better future for the country.

First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy Sodyq Safoev spoke at the meeting. He noted that the proposed changes to the Constitution are in fact popular. They take into account the rights and interests of all segments of the population, including young people. The project includes a separate chapter on the problem of youth, which makes up more than 18 million people. In particular, the state is responsible for ensuring the protection of the rights of young people, stimulating their active participation in the life of society and the state, creating conditions for their spiritual, intellectual, creative, physical and moral development, and the realization of their rights. These provisions provide young people with the opportunity for full self-realization, the rector noted.

Chairman of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan Sirojiddin Said, member of the Union of Writers, People's Poet of Karakalpakstan Rustam Musurmon and Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, member of the CEC, Doctor of Law Gulnoza Ismailova also spoke at the meeting with the youth.

They called on the youth to use their constitutional right, to show creative activity, to take an active part in the fate of their Motherland - New Uzbekistan.
