On April 18 this year, the presentation of the 100-volume complex of consequences “Treasury of Turkic Literature” was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

The event was opened with an opening speech by the head of the Department of Uzbek and Russian languages Mehribon Abdurakhmanova. In particular, she noted that this wonderful collection is a product of the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to collect from the best examples of literature of the member states of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States at the seventh summit, which took place on October 15, 2019 in Azerbaijan, in the city of Baku.

The next was the speech of the candidate of philological sciences, associate professor Shoira Normatova, who spoke about the content, creation, translations and translators of the complex of problems “Treasury of Turkic Literature”. In particular, drawing special attention of the listeners to the compilation of the collection, she noted that 28 volumes are devoted to samples of Uzbek literature. The complex also presents the best works of Turkish, Kyrgyz, Kazakh, judicial and Hungarian literature.

After the speeches of the students, the students asked questions of interest to them, and also expressed their opinion about the masterpieces of literature included in this collection, familiar to them.

The event was held in a friendly, sincere and warm atmosphere.

The birth of such a unique and rich literary complex as the “Treasury of Turkic Literature” is important for awakening in the hearts of personal feelings of love for fiction, susceptibility to the magic of the word, in particular, for a closer acquaintance with the samples of fraternal peoples and thereby rapprochement of peoples.

The event was attended by the faculty of the Department of Uzbek and Russian languages and about 100 students of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.
