On April 15, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted the UWED DC Tournament, an inter-university parliamentary debate tournament that brought together teams from University of World Economy and Diplomacy, International Islamic Academy, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, and MGIMO-Tashkent.

The tournament is an opportunity for students to develop their debating and public speaking skills and improve their leadership and teamwork skills. It will also help them in the future, in making important decisions in their professional life.

During the tournament, the teams gave professional performances that were accompanied by arguments from various sources and international laws and theories.

The organizers of the tournament emphasize the importance of such competitions for the development of negotiation skills in young people and for the formation of future leaders of society. During the tournament, students have the opportunity to address the jury and show their ability to analyze, think critically and persuade the audience.

At the end of the tournament:

The University of Oriental Studies team – 1st place;

The University of World Economy and Diplomacy – 2nd place;

MGIMO-Tashkent – 3rd place.

This event also helping to draw attention to the importance of parliamentary debate and public speaking in our modern social and political life.
