Through the initiative of the Department of International Finance and Investment of the Faculty of International Economics and Management, on April 3, a scientific panel discussion was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy on the topic “Constitutional reforms in the conditions of economic transformations of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.

The event was attended by the professors and lecturers, PhD and master’s degree students of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. The participants of the round table meeting discussed issues regarding the current state policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, reforms that ensure the rule of law at the upcoming national referendum within the framework of the Law on the new edition of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The speakers stressed that the comprehensive update of the Basic Law demonstrates the solid legal and economic foundation of the country's success over the past six years, as well as the most important milestones achieved over the years of independence. Also, the introduction of a separate chapter on the youth in the updated Constitution is a clear evidence that the youth policy is one of the priorities of the New Uzbekistan. In this regard, it is appropriate to recall the words of Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the inauguration ceremony of the President on December 14, 2016, where he stated that "we will steadily and firmly continue the state youth policy and raise it to an even higher level in accordance with the requirements of today."
