The delegation of the European Parliament visited the University of World Economy and Diplomacy

A group of deputies of the European Parliament visited the University of World Economy and Diplomacy on April 4 this year.

First Vice-Rector of the the University of World Economy and Diplomacy Durbek Amanov acquainted the delegation of the European Parliament with the multifaceted activities of the university. Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation Gulnoza Ismailova, Deputy Director of the Institute of Advanced International Studies Akram Umarov spoke about projects for cooperation in the field of higher education and research with partners from EU countries.

During the meeting with the faculty and students of the UWED, representatives of the delegation of the European Parliament reported that the purpose of their visit to Uzbekistan was to discuss the current state and prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union, in particular issues of strengthening inter-parliamentary ties.

Members of the European delegation had a dialogue with the UWED students and answered their questions.
