Constitutional reforms in the eyes of judges

On March 31 of this year, master classes were organized for students on the topic “New Constitution in New Uzbekistan” at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, with the participation of judges of Mirzo Ulugbek district court for criminal cases S. Abduganiyev, B. Kayumov, M. Kukiyev, director of UWED Legal Clinic Z. Ubaidullayev and deputy dean of the Faculty of International Relations S. Ibodullaev.

In the master class, the students were told that the guarantees of human rights and freedoms in the new version of the Constitution are significantly strengthened, in particular, the death penalty is prohibited in Uzbekistan, in addition, a person cannot be detained for more than 48 hours without a court decision, that is, the person's it was explained that any action related to restriction of freedom must be carried out only on the basis of a court decision.
