UWED student became the winner of the International Contest “Leader of Public Diplomacy”

From December 6 to 8, 2022 within the framework of the Perm International Forum, a 4th-year student of the Faculty of International Relations Fazliddin Djamalov took part in the final of the international contest “Leader of Public Diplomacy", following which he became a silver medalist successfully representing the Republic of Uzbekistan. 

In the final of the competition, 18 Russian and 12 foreign participants met, including from Tunisia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Moldova, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Romania, Italy, Mexico, France and Russia.  In total, representatives of the non-profit sector from 23 countries and 34 regions of Russia took part in the project program.

The educational program of the International contest “Leader of Public Diplomacy” consisted of an educational intensive – a series of meetings of the participants of the competition with Russian and foreign experts, lectures and assignments, as well as a workshop – search for practical solutions to the proposed cases.  

The events were held at the Perm Expo Exhibition Center in Perm (Russia). During the forum, master classes, round tables, conferences, competitions were held.
