On December 5 of this year Tatiana Valovaya, the Director-General of the United Nations Office in Geneva, delivered a lecture on the topic "Sustainable development agenda until 2030" at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

Leading specialists of the university, ministries and agencies responsible for achieving the national goals of sustainable development, and experts of international organizations took part in the lecture held at the UWED. In addition, a presentation of the specialists of the Prospective International Studies' Center for the Study of the Problems of Sustainable Development, which was established within the university. The Center seeks to support the effective implementation of the national goals and tasks of sustainable development through scientific and methodological means.

Tatiana Valovaya's visit to our country is planned for December 4-6, and as part of the visit, it is scheduled that she would participate in the international conference on "Institutionalization of anti-violence, creation of gender sensitive images in mass media" taking place in Tashkent on December 6.

At the end of the lecture, there was a Q&A session involving the students of the UWED.
