On July 16 of this year, a solemn ceremony of awarding bachelor's degrees to graduates of the academic year 2021-2022 took place at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED).

Traditionally, the event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, heads of Uzbekistan's representative offices abroad and honorary graduates. "For almost 30 years of its continued existence, the university has trained several competitive personnel. Today, 195 young people, specialists in the field of international economic relations, political science and international law are graduating from our university. I hope that you will make a meaningful contribution to the development of the civil service and diplomacy of the new Uzbekistan,” Rector S. Safoev noted.

During the event, the heads and honorary graduates of foreign representative offices of our country also delivered congratulatory speeches.

“Today, new young specialists are being actively integrated to Uzbek diplomacy. Today, graduates of a number of universities serving in Uzbekistan's diplomatic missions abroad, including at the Embassy of our country in London, are actively contributing to the expansion of academic cooperation. Being an officer of the diplomatic service and a graduate of the UWED, I am very happy about this. I want to thank all the teachers of our university for their invaluable efforts to train competent international specialists.”- stated Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland - Said Rustamov.

“Its graduates are a particular pride for each university. Despite the fact that our university is already 30 years old, its graduates serve in different countries and continents of the world. Dear graduates, continue to research and study, even when you finish your education, and glorify our university with your successes. I and other graduates of our university are proud to have studied at this university, no matter what part of the world we are in." noted the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the UN Office in Geneva and other international organizations - Ulugbek Lapasov.

Another busy academic year has come to an end, and the Union of active, progressive-minded graduates has once again left UWED. There is no doubt that the skills and abilities they have acquired over the years will help them prove themselves in any professional field and become worthy representatives of the university.
