University of World Economy and Diplomacy and Pakistan Foreign Service Academy are expanding scientific and educational cooperation

On June 29th at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, an online meeting with the representatives of The Foreign Service Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan and the Vice-Rector of UWED for International Relations S. Saidkasimov was held. The meeting attendees were the Director General of The Foreign Service Academy Zahid Nasrullah Khan, Director of Programme and Administration, Dr. Asima Rabbani, Vice-Rector of UWED for International Relations, Saidkasimov Saidmukhtar, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan, H. E. Oybek Usmanov, Ambassador of Pakistan to Uzbekistan, H. E. Syed Ali Asad Gillani. 
The proposals of both parties were brought forward during the opening remarks and were discussed in the course of the dialogue. The major proposals were the followings: organization of a scientific conference dedicated to 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Pakistan in the beginning of the new academic year, organization of regular series of online lectures and seminars for the professors, researchers and students of both institutions to exchange ideas, learn about and analyze the internal and external policies of Uzbekistan and Pakistan, exchange of experience of effective library fund management, exchange of academic training methodologies, educational and scientific materials. 
It is worth noting that throughout the discussion parties were assured that they shared common interests. Sides expressed a will to build a strong bilateral relationship and maintain contact for further collaboration. The partnership between the institutions was grounded in common values and goals, mutual respect and trust and became the continuation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and the Foreign Service Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. 
At the end of the meeting parties of Uzbekistan and Pakistan expressed their gratitude to the ambassadors H. E. Oybek Usmanov and H. E. Syed Ali Asad Gillani for the organization of the bilateral meeting.
