UWED delegation visited Kazakhstan

On June 29 - July 1, 2022, Head of “International Relations” Department of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy U.A.Khasanov, Fellow researcher and coordinator of the «Knowledge Hub UniCEN» project from UWED A.A. Umarov, Head of Scientific Department R.A. Enazarov, PhD Doctoral student M.M.Nurmetova and PhD Doctoral student I.N.Gafarov visited Almaty, Kazakhstan.

The trip was organized in the framework of the «Knowledge Hub UniCEN» project. The purpose of this trip was to establish cooperation and sustainable partnership with leading Kazakh universities.

During the stay in Almaty, the delegation from UWED visited Narxoz University, Kazakhstan National University named after Al-Farabi (KazNU) and Kazakh-German University (KDU). Meetings were held with the Head of the International Department of Narxoz University and with the director of the «Knowledge Hub UniCEN» project, professor at the University of Pittsburgh Jennifer Murtazashvili; with the authority and faculty members of the Higher School of Law and Public Administration of Narxoz University; with the Dean of the “International Relations” Faculty of KazNU, Deputy Dean for Scientific and International Relations, Head of the Department “International Relations and World Economy” and faculty members of the department.

The parties emphasized that there is a low level of cooperation among Central Asian universities and academic sphere. In this regard, the parties agreed to establish close cooperation between the relevant universities; to exchange experience in the field of teaching and scientific research, writing scientific papers; and to organize guest lectures.
