The solemn event was held by the Embassy of Slovakia

The Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Tashkent, together with the Center for Hydrometeorological Service (Uzhydromet), completed the solemn ceremony of installing a bust of a scientist, astronomical, military, political, diplomat, General Milan Rastislav Stefanik.

This event was held to commemorate the trip of the head of the French expedition M.R. Stefanik to Turkestan in late 1906-early 1907. to observe the occurrence of eclipses and his visit to the Tashkent observatory, and, consequently, between the international relations of the Slovak and Uzbek peoples.

 The event was attended by UWED students.
