On May 5th of this year a meeting of the Vice-Rector of UWED for International Relations S. Saidkasimov with a member of the Organizing Committee of the Liberal Democratic Party of Great Britain, Chairman of the Business Club of Great Britain for International Affairs K. Divani and the chief director of the British company “EdLogica” V. Joshi was held at the University of world economy and diplomacy. S. Saidkasimov gave a brief presentation to the guests on the activity of the university. The British side outlined in detail the purpose of its visit and expressed a desire to establish strong bilateral relations with the University of world economy and diplomacy.

The parties considered the prospects of bilateral cooperation and put forward their proposals. In particular, launching exchange training programs with British universities in the 2+2 and 2+1 format for undergraduate and graduate students, organization of guest lectures by professors from British universities were discussed. K. Divani noted that he has an experience in the field of education and is ready to conduct online and offline lectures for UWED students on the topic "Digital diplomacy". The main cooperation fields were indicated as digital economy, digital law and tourism. The British side put forward a proposal to cooperate with the AIESEC global platform for youth in order to improve the quality of teaching a second language at the university. V. Joshi noted that volunteers can be invited from India, who are ready to teach the Indian language to UWED students.

The parties decided to discuss these issues in more detail and develop specific projects for cooperation in various areas, and, in the future, sign a joint memorandum. The negotiations were successful and during the meeting the parties considered ways to implement mutually beneficial projects. The British side expressed a desire to get to know the activities of the university in more detail.
