Opening of the "Cross-cultural communication Club" in UWED

On April 27 of this year, a group of student-initiators, headed by Professor of the English Department of UWED Bakhodir Samadov, held a general meeting on the subject of creating a club "UWED Cross-cultural Communication". The event was attended by active students from all faculties of our university.  The students discussed the need of creating this club, and also elected members of the club's council.

The meeting participants emphasized the importance of the ability to communicate with representatives of different nationalities.  The fact that “cultural” mistakes seriously affect the level of communication with foreign specialists was especially noted.

The speakers also highlighted the importance of using the prestigious variant of the English language RP ('Received Pronunciation'), the knowledge of which contributes to a more productive work of diplomats.
