Meeting of French teachers at Alliance Française in Tashkent

The Department for Culture and Cooperation (SCAC) of the French Embassy in Uzbekistan organized a meeting for French teachers from universities and institutes operating in the regions and the city of Tashkent. The participants were warmly welcomed by Serge Bellini, attaché for regional relations in education of the French Embassy in Uzbekistan. The event took place at the Alliance Française in Tashkent on April 8, 2022.

The event was attended by the faculty of the Department of Romano-Germanic Languages   of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. During the meeting, issues of providing educational materials in the French language and literature were discussed. The participants received full answers from the expert on their questions. Answering questions, Kari Desservetaz, the librarian-operator, noted that today the library is not only a place for obtaining information, but also a place for meetings and communication, therefore the scope of the librarian's activity is expanding. He also said that one of the important factors for the library's success is the quality filling of its collections, without which the library cannot exist.

At the end of the event, all participants of the meeting were given textbooks and fiction literature in French.
