Cooperation between UWED and JICA

Today UWED completed a series of lectures by the Head of the Representative Office of JICA (Japan) in the Republic of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Economics, Mr. Miyazaki Suguru.

For three weeks (from March 30 to April 13, 2022), students studying Japanese and teaching staff of the Oriental Languages ​​Department had the opportunity to replenish their knowledge in the field of economics, as well as, using the example of countries such as China and the Philippines, to get acquainted with the main trends in the economic development of these countries.

Each lecture ended with a lively discussion, during which students were interested in the economy of modern Japan and asked questions that interested them. Mr. Miyazaki Suguru, answering questions, noted the high level of knowledge of students in the field of economics.

At the end, the students warmly thanked Mr. Miyazaki Suguru for the informative lectures and expressed their desire to continue such lectures.
