On April 12, during the visit to Uzbekistan by the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Slovenia to the OSCE and other international organizations in Vienna, former Slovenian Foreign Minister Andrej Benedejčič, the Faculty of International Relations organized a lecture on the topic "Strategic autonomy of the EU: current challenges and future prospects".

The event was opened by the head of the Department of "International Relations" Ulugbek Khasanov, who in his welcoming speech focused on the professional career of A. Benedejčič. In turn, the guest made a presentation on the topic of the new EU program on strategic autonomy. The history of the creation of the EU as a subject of international law was revealed, the main agreements accompanying the creation of the organization were disclosed. The topic of the future of the European Union was also revealed within the framework of today's realities, when rapid changes are taking place in world politics.

At the end of the lecture, the students were able to ask diplomat their questions, and it was also noted about the continuation of the practice of organizing seminars with guest lecturers from Slovenia.
