Japan: tradition and modernity

On April 4, 2022, students, an event dedicated to the etiquette of Japanese cuisine was held at the university dormitory. Students studying Japanese get acquainted with the national cuisine of the Japanese, with the specific rules for the design of dishes, serving, table etiquette of Japan.
This event was moderated by teachers of the Japanese language. As part of the event, a master class was held on cooking traditional Japanese dishes, such as NORIMAKI and ONIGIRI. The students had the opportunity to prepare Japanese dishes on their own, and also had a tasting of prepared dishes and got acquainted with the traditions of using chopsticks.
The event was organized by the Department of Oriental Languages.
