The delegation of Lithuanian Vytautas Magnus University visited UWED

UWED hosted negotiations between the vice-rector for international relations prof. Saidkasymov S. and the delegation of Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania), headed by the rector prof. Juozas Augutis.

Among its members were Vice-Rector for Communications Prof. Vilma Biijkiene, Dean of the Faculty of Political Science and Diplomacy prof. Sarunas Liekis, Dean of the Faculty of Informatics prof. Tomas Krilavicius, International Cooperation Coordinator Ekaterina Makrikiene and Head of International Cooperation and Marketing Department Vaidas Dachola.

The guests were provided with detailed information about the history of creation, structural divisions, educational and scientific areas, as well as international relations of UWED with leading universities in the world.

The Lithuanian side informed about the activities of Vytautas Magnus University, expressed its interest in deepening cooperation with UWED in both educational and research fields.

A thorough exchange of information was held on the activities of two higher education institutions, on scientific potential and prospects of expansion of bilateral cooperation, practical issues of implementation of Erasmus + programs, and the possibility of joint implementation of scientific and educational projects with the participation of leading universities of the European Union.

For reference: Vytautas Magnus University is located in Kaunas (Lithuania) and it is the second largest university in Lithuania with over 9,000 students. The university has 10 faculties and 2 institutes, uniting 29 departments and centers.
