UWED expands cooperation with the Korean Ajou university

At the University of World Economy and Diplomacy were held negotiations by Vice-Rector for International Relations of UWED Prof. S.Saidkasymov with the first vice-rector of Ajou University (AU) prof. Lim Jay Ick and AU Vice President of International Affairs Son Jeong-Houn.

The parties noted with great satisfaction the growing interest of UWED students and researchers in studying the successful development of comprehensive relations between Uzbekistan and South Korea, the experience of high-tech development of a friendly country, and deep mastery of the Korean language.

During the negotiations, issues of further expansion of scientific and educational cooperation between the two universities were discussed in detail. Much attention was paid to the practical issues of opening double degree programs, which would allow students and undergraduates of UWED and AU to study both within the walls of AU and UWED.

Prof. Lim Jay Ick emphasized that UWED students currently on exchange programs with AU are among the best prepared along with students from other countries. Prof. Son Jeong-Houn confirmed that expanding ties with UWED is one of the priority and promising areas of cooperation for AU.

An agreement was reached on holding joint scientific conferences and seminars with the participation of young researchers, undergraduates and doctoral students with further publication of their results in scientific publications of the Republic of Korea, as well as organizing online lectures by professors of two universities for students of UWED and AU.
