"Democratization, active civil society and human rights priorities"

On February 17, a dialogue was held in Tashkent on the topic “Democratization, an active civil society and human rights priorities” for representatives of the “think tanks” of the Central Asian countries, civil society institutions and international experts.

The event was organized by the Yuksalish national movement in cooperation with the University of World Economy and Diplomacy with the support of the Central Asian Office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
In the form of an open discussion, domestic and foreign experts discussed issues of democratization of society, current trends in involving citizens and civil society institutions in the reform process, best practices for promoting human rights, developing civil society in line with modern requirements.

The session resulted in proposals and recommendations on expanding cooperation between the public and non-governmental sectors, as well as introducing best practices in the field of human rights.
