On January 18, 2022, Department of Romano-Germanic Languages of the UWED held an online round table on the topic “Creativity of Alisher Navoi through the Eyes of Scientists of the World”. The event was attended by teachers of the department, as well as students studying French, German, Spanish and Italian as a second and main foreign language.

Famous representatives of researchers of Alisher Navoi's creativity include such scientists as Sigrid Kleinmichel and Ingeborg Baldauf from Germany, Benedek Peri and Ferenc Csirkes from Hungary, Marc Toutant from France, Tanju Seyhan from Turkey, Hamid Arasly from Azerbaijan. During the event, students made presentations on the translation activities of some of them, as well as read excerpts from ghazals translated into French, German and Spanish. During the meeting, it was emphasized that the conversation dedicated to the work of the great poet Alisher Navoi contributes to strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between representatives of different nations.
