The UN model in the form of a conference of the State-Parties of the UN Convention against Corruption was launched on December 9 at the General Prosecutor’s Academy.

The conference was dedicated to the International Anti-Corruption Day and organized in cooperation with the Anti-Corruption Agency, The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and the NGO “Regional Dialogue”. The graduate students at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Westminster International University in Tashkent, Namangan State University, Tashkent State University of Law, the High School of Judges under the Supreme Council of Judges, The Academy of General Prosecutors office attended in the session.

The agenda of session included the Chapter II of the Convention - Measures to Prevent Corruption: A mechanism for Implementing the Review, with a focus on the Code of Conduct for public servants. As part of the first phase of the day, a seminar-training was organized for participants with the participation of Goran Klimenchich, an expert of the NGO "Regional Dialogue" and trainers from the Academy of the General Prosecutors office, who had highlighted the Article 8 of the Convention and national and international standards for the implementation of review mechanism, as well as advanced foreign experience.

The UWED Master’s degree students Berkinov Jakhongir, Sindarov Shokhnur, Aliyev Usmon, Khamidullayev Bilolkhon, Egamberdiyeva Manzura, Abdushukurova Nozimabonu and as a trainer Sarvarbek Ibodullayev participated actively and awarded with the certificates in the final role-playing competition on December 24, based on the master’s degree students in the field of law from higher education institutions defended their reports on the implementation of Article 8 of the UN Convention as delegates to the UN Convention in accordance with the rules of the debate.
