UWED was visited by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Uzbekistan

UWED was visited by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Uzbekistan, Mr. Gillani Syed Ali Asad.

The distinguished guest was accompanied by Deputy Ambassador Waseem Shahzad and Third Secretary Ramzan Muhammad.

Vice-Rector for International Relations S.S. Saidkasymov and Head of the International Relations Department A.I. Mukhitdinov attended the meeting on behalf of the UWED.

During the meeting, issues of further expanding joint cooperation of the parties were discussed on the basis of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Pakistan Academy of the Diplomatic Service and the UWED, signed in July 2021 during the visit of the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Imran Khan to Uzbekistan.

Cooperation under the Memorandum includes the exchange of academic and research materials, exchange of knowledge and experience on effective library and teaching management in educational institutions, mutual exchange of delegations and representatives of the parties to participate in academic conferences, seminars and symposiums, etc.
