As part of the activities of the ecoclub “UWED Ecoclub” on November 20 in the city of Tashkent, on the territory of the stadium “Pakhtakor”, a team of UWED students of the 2nd year of the Faculty of International Economic Relations under number 5 Abzalkhanova Dilnoza, Mukarramova Kamola, Abdullaev Zhasurbek and Murodov Anvar under the leadership of Turaeva Surya, associate professor of the Department of International Economics " took part in the program of mass races" Save Aral "in the Ekiden relay race. The Ekiden relay competition was first held in Japan and is the most popular in this country. The classic version of the Ekiden is six stages with a total length of a marathon distance.

The goal of the “Save Aral” races is to draw public attention to measures aimed at mitigating the effects of the drying up of the Aral Sea and uniting efforts to restore the Aral Sea region.
