We fight ignorance with enlightenment!

Today, it is even more important to promote the humane ideas of our holy religion of Islam, to educate our young people in the spirit of sound faith, based on the principle of "Against Ignorance - Enlightenment".

An enlightenment event under the slogans "Enlightenment against ignorance", "Peace is the highest blessing" and "We - the youth are against religious extremism and terrorism" was held at the University of world economy and diplomacy on November 12, 2021 to promote the ideas of religious tolerance and interethnic harmony among young people, to educate young people in the spirit of secularism, patriotism, cases of unknowingly joining the various currents among young people today, as well as the negative consequences of religious extremism and terrorism, which seek to undermine the development of our country, their prevention, mutual trust between religions, mutual respect between people of different religions, equality, In order to promote peace and harmony.

The event was attended by O. Yusupov, a specialist of the Main Department for Combating Terrorism and Religious Extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, J. Melikuziev, a specialist of the Tashkent Main Department for Religious Affairs, R. Kochkarov, an associate professor of Tashkent State University, who spoke about young people, who respect national and universal values, have strong life beliefs and views, and are able to withstand unkown harmful effects to our national mentality, the various religious extremist organizations operating under the guise of religion, which are of concern to the world community, are deceiving young people into joining their ranks and shared a point that youth should be beware of the actions of such groups, that Islam is the only religion, which calls humanity for love, friendship and good deeds in our society, that it is the only religion that encourages growth, and that a constant sense of gratitude should not leave any of us for living and learning under a peaceful and serene sky today. The issues of state and religion relations, legal, cultural, literacy, radicalism, extremism, fight against terrorism and state youth policy in Uzbekistan were also explained at the event.

At the end of the event, students received answers to their questions, and it was agreed to organize and hold such meetings among young people more often.
