On September 6-7, 2021, teaching staff of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy held independence lessons for students of all courses and areas of study under the motto "Live freely and comfortably in New Uzbekistan". During independence lessons, students were explained in detail the content of large-scale reforms and positive changes being carried out in Uzbekistan in the field of ensuring human rights and freedom, further liberalization of all spheres of society, strengthening the atmosphere of peace and kindness, friendship and harmony, improving the welfare of the people. They spoke about important tasks for innovative development of our country, increasing and strengthening people's active citizenship and initiative, forming independent thinking skills, strengthening the foundations of a democratic state based on the rule of law, combating ignorance and developing education.

Lessons were held in an online format using modern educational technologies. The topics of the classes were as follows:

  • The new Uzbekistan is becoming a country of democratic transformations, broad opportunities and practical work (based on answers of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to questions of the editor-in-chief of the newspaper "New Uzbekistan");
  • Entrepreneurs – creators of the new Uzbekistan (based on speech of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at a meeting in the form of an open dialogue with entrepreneurs of our country);
  • Central and South Asia: regional interconnection. Threats and opportunities (based on speech of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan at an international conference);
  • Let's live freely and comfortably in New Uzbekistan! (Based on speech of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the solemn event dedicated to the thirtieth anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan).

In addition, talented and active university students took independence lessons at secondary schools under the motto "A free and prosperous lifestyle in New Uzbekistan".
