Sоdik Safoyev became the rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy

By the decision of the Government, the first Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Sodik Solikhovich Safoev was appointed Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

In 1991, Safoev was appointed chief consultant and head of the Department of International Economic Relations in the Presidential Administration. From 1992 to 1993, he held the position of First Deputy Minister of Foreign Economic Relations. In different years, he was the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Germany, State Adviser to the President on state relations and foreign Economic Relations, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to the United States, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis on foreign policy.

Since 2015 – has been working as the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.
