The law about “The State Emblem” was approved by the 10-th session of the Oliy Kengash of the Republic of Uzbekistan on July 2, 1992.

The new state emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan was created to reflect the many centuries of experience of the Uzbek people.

Every color and emblem on the state flag of Uzbekistan has a deep symbolic meaning. The blue stripe on the flag is the symbol of the sky, water and peace. The white line on the cloth is the color of peace and purity, the green stripe represents youth and the extraordinary nature of Uzbekistan. Red lines symbolize the blood, running in our blood vessels, recalling us about peace-loving ancestors.

The image of the State Emblem is reflected on banknotes, on the passport of a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on border posts installed on the State Border of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on documents of the national sample.
