The prospects of Uzbekistan depend on the young generation with mature, deep knowledge and experience. As noted in the UN Youth Strategy, “The young people represent the most valuable and extremely important resource which is worth investing in, as the investment will be repaid manifold in the future” and these words of which also imply high confidence and attention to them.

According to the law of the President “On the establishment of the Day of Youth of the Republic of Uzbekistan” on August 25, 2017, June 30 is widely celebrated as the day of youth in Uzbekistan. In connection with this date, the Ministry of foreign affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a ceremony of awarding the participants of the competition “Best scientific article” organized among the students of the University of world economy and diplomacy.

Within the framework of the competition, 59 UWED students and undergraduates studying in different directions presented their articles to the ministry. Vice-rector on Educational Affairs of UWED Matyokub Bakoev and Vice-Rector on Youth Affairs Laziz Mingishov awarded the winners and holders of various nominations with diplomas, as well as the remaining participants were received letters of gratitude from the MIA.

The purpose of this competition is to raise the interest of UWED students in the foreign policy and economic activities of the Republic and international law. As well as the perform priority tasks defined in the “Year of Youth Support and Health Promotion”, in particular, it consists of educating young people independently and logically thinking, possessing noble qualities on the basis of modern knowledge and experience, and informing them of national and universal values.
