The ceremony of awarding public activists and foreign experts was held in Tashkent on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. In this meeting, a professor of the University of world economy and diplomacy, doctor of Political Sciences, chairperson of the Women's Advisory Council of the University, Etibor Sultanova was also awarded a letter of gratitude and the title of "People's Diplomat".

On June 15, 2001, in Shanghai, the Heads of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, China, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan signed a Declaration on the Establishment of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Over the past 20 years, the SCO has become an authoritative international structure and a responsible participant in the modern system of international relations. Today, the Organization is a reliable platform for fruitful cooperation in the interests of creating a polycentric world.
