The Regional Director of the UN Development Program arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit

On the first day of the official visit of the regional director of the UN Development Program to Uzbekistan, the rector of University of world economy and diplomacy Komiljon Karimov met with the distinguished guest and first deputy of the Chairman of the Senate.

Within the framework of the meetings held at the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ms Spolyarich Egger reaffirmed the commitment of UNDP to some of the most important national areas for further growth. These include improving parliamentary oversight of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), promoting the implementation of the Poverty Reduction Strategy in Uzbekistan with a focus on vulnerable groups, promoting Uzbekistan's green recovery from the effects of COVID-19, and supporting the National Gender Strategy.
