On April 22, 2021, at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, within the framework of the JICA Chair event (JICA program for studying Japan), a course of online lectures began by the Head of the JICA Representative Office in Uzbekistan, Doctor of Science in Economics Miyazaki Suguru.

The agreement to organize this event was reached during the visit of Mr. Miyazaki to the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in March this year. Within the framework of the JICA Chair event, a course of lectures on the economies of Japan, Asia and Africa, economic geography, models of economic development of the leading countries of the world is planned.

The first lecture “Economic growth models in Asia & Africa” was attended by 2nd year students of the Faculty of International Economics and Management. Students were informed about the essence of economic growth, its forms in Asia and Africa, as well as new models of economic growth.

At the end of the lecture, a discussion took place, during which students had the opportunity to ask their questions. Mr. Miyazaki, answering the questions of the 2nd year students Fatih Kadirova and the 4th year students, noted the high level of the questions asked by the students.

At the end of the lecture, the students thanked in Japanese to Miyazaki Suguru for interesting and informative lecture.
